About Long Lake
Long Lake, often referred to as the “Walleye Capital of Wisconsin,” is a picturesque, spring-fed lake covering approximately 3,300 acres. Formed by glaciers millions of years ago, it stretches nearly 19 miles, boasting 99 miles of scenic shoreline and depths exceeding 70 feet.
**Historical Signrea around Long Lake has a rich history, with the Potawatomi Indian Tribe inhabiting the region even after their lands were ceded to the U.S. Government in 1817. They lived here in fairly large numbers, hunted, fished, and planted corn in the Long Lake area.
